Munch Munch
Last week sometime, after a long
day I came home from an evening out. Tired and somewhat groggy I
decided to take the five Twenty-Dollar bills I had in my pocket out and
put them onto my coffee table. I wedged them underneath a candle and
left for a bath. Upon my return I was greeted by an unusual sight -
dozens of little pieces of my bills scattered across the floor. Sasha
looked at me in complete innocence as I realized what had happened. She
had succumbed to the smell of money and had tried to eat the bills!!
In complete panic I looked at the pieces and began, in a puzzle like effort, to put the pieces back together. With lots of tape and quite a bit of patience I realized I had five semi-complete bills - bits and pieces in Sasha's stomach but for the most part complete.
Mortified about this happening - MY dog eating money, completely unheard of - I went to the bank with my taped bills and explained to the teller about the mishap. Not only did he laugh, he commented that he had two dogs and had gone through the same thing before.
Happily I walked out of the bank, five brand new bills in my hand and a lesson learned. Never EVER leave bills out where a dog can munch on them...
